Legislative Board on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 5:00 pm, Chancery Court Room, Lincoln County Courthouse, 112 Main Ave., S., Fayetteville, TN for the purpose of considering rezoning certain property owned by Brown-Forman Corp on Lynchburg Hwy, Parcel No. 041 001.00 from A-1 Agriculture-Forestry-Rural Residential to C-1 General Commercial for the purpose of constructing warehouses. Please take notice that a public hearing will be held by the Lincoln Co , TN County Commission on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 5 pm, Circuit Courtroom, Lincoln County Courthouse, 112 Main Ave., S., Fayetteville, TN for the purpose of considering an amendment to the Zoning Resolution of Lincoln County, Tennessee adopted on August 19, 2014 to wit:

Article III Section 3.110 Development Standards for Multi-Family Development
The provisions set forth are intended to provide design criteria for multi-family developments located on a single zoned lot or tract. Provisions are intended to provide regulations for spacing, internal orientation, parking, improvements, etc.

The provisions set forth are intended to provide design criteria for parking lots (including one and two-family where access is from other than minor residential public ways).

The purpose of the Planning & Zoning Department is to facilitate the Lincoln County Zoning and Subdivision Regulations.

This office is responsible for Current Planning, Future Planning, Zoning Compliance and related administrative duties.  Combined, these functions help ensure a quality community and help protect property values.

Zoning focuses on how land is currently being used and how it can be used in the future.  The goal is to provide a harmonious transition of zoning districts and ensure growth and development progress in a fashion that minimizes potential conflicts between uses.  Zoning is about preserving the quality of health, safety, and welfare in our community.

State law requires building permits on certain construction along with compliance of applicable building codes.  Such construction is subject to inspection. (State Contract Inspection Services 615-741-7170 or homebuilding.tn.gov)
